| Never buy or eat foods with GM ingredients ( avoid food that has genetically modified ingredients) | GM products are one of the greatest capitalist scams ever. The mega food producers plan to control and patent the food we eat and monopolise global food production. GM wont feed the starving world, but it will make big profits for large corporations and will impoverish small farmers in the western world and in the developing world. It is untested technology with unknown negative consequences on the heath of the consumer, the environment and the puity of organic crops. |
What: Dont eat food with GM ingredients. . How: Check the ingredients of everything you buy. Any mention of "Gene....." anything..... dump it. Favour restaurants that guarantee GM-free. Buy Organic when you can to be sure. Tons of links for this subject. |

| Meat production is not an efficient use of resources |
Modern meat production relies on fodder produced from many high carbohydrate crops like soya. These crops are produced in enourmous quantitites and, for example, are being grown in the Amazon basin where rainforest has been cleared. The amount of protein produced by 1 hectare of land used to farm high vegetables (peas, beans etc) is 4 times greater than that used to produce meat. Its a BAD use of land and its a human arrogance of the highest order to keep animals soley to kill and eat. |
What: Stop eating meat. BUT if you do at least eat free range or organic meat which originates from animals jept in a decent environment and fed on traditional fodder How: Eating meat is just habit, we dont need it, if you want to stop eating it, just gradually cut it down and favour organic products. Same for eggs! |

What: Avoid processed or convenience foods in general. Buy fresh ingredients and learn how to cook again. How: Avoid processed or convenience foods in general. Buy fresh ingredients. |
